Aquapalooza on Lake Travis, Austin, TX

I've been back home in Austin, TX visiting family and friends, and it just so happened to line up with a major lake event last weekend. The event was called Aquapalooza, sponsored by Sea Ray boats. They built a huge stage on the shoreline of Lake Travis, which is a big, beautiful Texas hill country lake. In the lake, they laid out a ton of anchors and mooring lines, because they were expecting 4000-5000 boats to show up for the concert. I can't remember any of the bands besides the headliner, Brad Paisley, but the musics was appropriate for the crowd. It was a fun filled weekend on the lake.

Yeah, it was an amazing sight, but you should have seen the police presence! From what I understand, the Aquapalooza event is a "traveling" show. Last year they had it somewhere in TN, this year in TX... and who knows where it'll be next year.

Nice lake. Ate at the floating restraunt. Can't remember the name, tho'
Looks like fun.
