Are these guys on crack?

Someone posted a link to the Ring Brothers store on another site. While some of their stuff looks really cool, the prices are just crazy high.

Who is gonna be the first to buy a $13K body kit?

Damn, that's not cheap. I can appreciate their craftsmanship, but their designs are way too custom for my liking.

I thought the export kind of looked cartoonish, like the two top pieces should rotate with the bottom piece mounted on a pivot pin, like a part in Willy Wonkas chocolate factory.

I have a set of their hood hinges. They too are way overpriced but are very nicely crafted. Of course, I got mine secondhand (never mounted) for about half their listed cost.
Unfortunately, anything "billet" or custom carries a high cost. Somebody has to pay for the design work (and many times oodles of machine time). Not everything is done in bulk CNC style. Can't say I am a fan of the export brace either. I have Shaun's and really like the clean, strong look of his piece.

I'm still kicking myself for letting my mill go. The parts I could be fabbing...

I wonder how many Mustangs are in some Knuckleheads garage, as we speak, being turn into some kind of Transformer. :cry

I wan to see that export brace on a car before I pass judgement.
If you buy it, I'll put it on my car so you can see what it looks like... maybe

I'll bet they start popping up in shows very soon. Too many people with too much money and no sense! The cowl vent cover is a good idea, to high though and not clean looking at all.

I had the idea of getting rid of them in favor of the holes like in the 88 F250 I had. It was a clean look and not as fragile.
You would have to cut out the old ones and weld in the new panel and do a buch of metal work and such to make it look like it was factory....

Have any of you seen the book that details the Ring Bros. building of the 67 Fastback they call "Reactor"? Someone spent some absolutely big bucks financing the build of that car. They made a lot of carbon fiber parts as well as billet parts and who knows what else for that car. The books come in almost every Air Ride Technologies parts box I get.
