What is a CF-18? Thought that was a F/A-18. Impressive pics though.

It looks like it has Canadian markings and maybe an engine shut down. Pilot survive?

CF-18 is the Canadian version. Built in St.Louis for the Canadiam AirForce. They have the reverse paint on the bottom of the plane , meaning there is a look alike cockpit painted on the underside alond with tail shadows to give that minut hesitation advisary in a dogfight.
It looks to have a stuck afterburner with the nozzle stuck open.
