Heater fan help!

Hi all I'm tring to rebuild my heater box,my car is 66vert the wires on the blower motor itself are in rough shape can these wires be replaced? How can I hook it up to check if motor is working also I would like to salvage this original one. :hmm

Ive tested heater motors by putting 1 lead to hot and the other to ground on a battery. wes

More than just if it turns, you want to check to see if there is play in the shaft bearings, etc. Nothing worse than putting it all back together and having it fail on you two months later.

The wires don't look to be easily serviceable on the old one I have in garage but anything is possible if you are willing to put in the effort. The cost of a new one is rather low, however...

I guess I mean can I replace the two wires coming out of the motor how do you open it up it looks riveted?
