Hood to Cowl seal

Hood to Cowl, what holds the ends on a 65. Or they plastic plug type things or screws. If screws, is there a backing plate?
 
Not sure if the 65 is like the 66, but mine has a metal plate at both ends.
 
I got a set of these when I got my new seal, po had just glued the old seal down;
