Identifying a 351cj

Monday i bought a 72 Q code mach 1. I am trying to figure out if the motor in it is the original 351cj. How do i tell if it is a cj? The Numbers are D2AE that comes out to 1972 Full size ford. The A should be a Z for mustang. Did ford ever put motors in mustangs that are stamped with a "A" indicating the motor as a full sized ford motor?
