So I have been told that our fearful Knotts Weekend leader, KBMWRS (aka Mikey) may not be attending the show this year. As such, we will need to figure out how to do this on our own. I just received notice that the registration is open for the show http://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/event?oeidk=a07eey5ma9b60e68888&llr=hfdulvlab So that is at least a good start.

Check in here if you are thinking of attending this year!

Knotts StangFix agenda (Apr 13th – Apr 15th):
    Friday night: drinks & dinner
Saturday night dinner: Rock & Brews Restaurant,
    Sunday: Knotts SHOW
Sunday night: ‘Those who stayed over Dinner’
    Monday: Cruise home.

Okay here’s the SF agenda for the 2018 Fabulous Fords Forever Knotts week-end.

Friday morning: cruise in for those from NorCal (Apr 13th):
Central Valley folks make your plans.
Rallying point is the Rest Area (first one south of Hwy 152 Los Banos) southbound side I-5 at 8am sharp. The NorCal group will be heading south in order to get to LaLaLand before the afternoon traffic. Same gas stop at Kettleman City, (exit Hwy 41 east) next to In-N-Out Burger and gas/lunch stop at the bottom of the Grapevine (exit Wheeler Ridge Rd/ Lavall Rd, right on Dennis McCarthy Dr) rally at the large US Flagpole on left before we leave there.

Suggested motel: Marriott Courtyard, 7621 Beach Boulevard Buena Park, California 90620, this is where most of us from NorCal end up staying. Also has free parking. Most motels down there charge for parking.

Friday night: Casual get-together, drinks, dinner, talk
Where: Outback Steakhouse (7575 Beach about ½ mile north of Knotts)
Time: 6pm (beat the Friday night rush)

    Saturday: suggestions?

Saturday Night: Rock and Brews, 7777 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA90620
    Time: 5:30pm
    I will be coordinating this
Folks should PM me to RSVP

    Sunday morning meet-up:
Where: All Star Donuts / Polo Loco / Chevron
LaPalma Ave. and Valley View St.
    Time: 08:00am

    Sunday Noon Knotts StangFix pic:
Where: meet in the center grass area near announcer (look for a large group in a daze).
    Time: 12:00pm, noon

Sunday night: ‘Those who stayed over Dinner’
    I will be coordinating this
Where: Lupo D’abruzzo Restaurant , 6032 Ball RdBuena Park, CA90620
    Time: 6:00pm
    Contact: kb3
Folks should PM me to RSVP.

That’s about it. It should be a great week-end as usual. See you all there.
This will be my first Knotts while being unemployed.

    guruatbol Always on vacation!

I'll be attending. We have a new mascot, Tucker.

So someone needs to contact Outback and the Saturday dinner place.

I'll be out of the country so I'm out.

I think we should go to either the nhra museum in Pomona or the Peterson on Saturday.

I need to register this year. I'll either have the 67 or the 18 GT350.

Knott's in on the calendar. Still trying to decide whether we will be coming down on Thursday with a stop in Camarillo or join the NorCal caravan on Friday. Who in the Mo-town/Sacto crowd (Don, Ed, John, Tom, Bill, & Dave) thinks they will be participating in Knott's this year? Armon will likley still be at CSUCI in April. Not sure about Frank, Justin, or Craig from the Bay Area.

I will reach out to John and he can confirm with the Ed/Don/Tom/Bill gang. I haven't heard from anyone else as of yet. Kelly is debating between Knotts and Graffiti last time I spoke with her.

    Really? That is dedication.

You need to take care of yourself!!!!!

I doubt Toni is going to let you. I can hear her now. Vincent, you're not going and that's, that. In my best eastern accent!

On another note, I've been talking to Amber about flying out for a long weekend.

Ok, I'm back in country and on my list of to do things is register for the show. Still not sure if the new car will be here in time.

So is someone booking Outback Friday and Rock & Brews on Saturday?

I will not be at Knotts this year as I've got a research symposium the same week :(

I'm pretty sure I'll be at American Graffiti, though they just released the Hot Rod Power Tour schedule and it's looking mighty tempting and is the same week... hmm. HRPT starts in Bowling Green, KY, and goes through my hometown (Raleigh) and ends in Charlotte, NC. So I can't do both! We'll see.

Thanks Jeff! I stole Mike's previous work and edited my first post on this thread. I just need to start collecting names and head count for each event.

This year I will likely be at Hot August Nights, American Graffiti, OR the Hot Rod Power Tour... just one this year :( Being consistently gainfully employed is the worst!!

Jeff, I may pull some crazy flight in for Knotts last-minute again this year, but it's highly unlikely as I'm supposed to be helping run this conference and it starts Monday... bleh.

Now the problem I'm struggling with is that American Graffiti is on my birthday, and it would be awesome to take Jane as I missed out on that last year. But the Hot Rod Power Tour is going on at the exact same time, and it goes through my hometown and also Bowling Green, which is the site of Holley's warehouse... which I may need for upgrade reasons :) Also, I've never done the Power Tour.

Maybe I should just get fired so I can do everything and not have to worry about coming home :p
