Mustangs and Fords At The Marriott

Anyone going to the Mustangs and Fords At The Marriott show tomorrow in Rancho Cordova, CA? I'm thinking about rolling by with my 69, but I'm just going to be a spectator. I can only stay till 11 am. I entered it once when it was held over in Haggin Park next to the American River. That was a nice show with a great venue. You could sit under the trees and keep cool. I did a Corvette show over at the R.C. Marriott a few years ago and just remember the parking lot as being somewhat like an afternoon in Iraq by midday. Now that I'm a Sacramento area resident, I feel obligated to have a look.

Hi Ken, been a long time. I hope all is well w/you. You're is Sacto now? I won't be at the show.

Good to hear from you Ken.....I am too far away! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!!!!

Sorry, but Cali sounds fun right now. Somewhere by the beach to get out of the heat!

Unusually hot up hear!

Mel

I actually have to apologize to SAMC for criticizing their choice of venues. I didn't enter the show because I had another commitment at 11:30 am that day, but I did drop by about 10:00 am and the show was in a parking lot that was full of nice, shady trees. The Corvette guys I mentioned previously had used the lot up in front along Folsom Blvd. where there is very little cover. Picture all those 50 year old trophy wives in their Daisy Dukes with their makeup running from all the sweating.:puk Well, I sold the Vette a year ago so I'll never have to witness that again. :hide

Maybe you could hang out at the pool............................................. :roll
I took your advice, Jeff, and took along my Speedo to "hang out" at the pool. After a "brief" misunderstanding with the Whale Watchers Society, it was quite refreshing. Everyone left the area, so I had the whole pool to myself. :shrug

You're is Sacto now?

Yes, John, I have migrated north to Sac-a-tomatoes. We have been in Lincoln for little over a year now. We are loving it up here. Close to medical clinics and the casino. What more could old farts desire? I couldn't bring myself to move into the Del Webb community, though. They only have two car garages. :guns

Sorry,
Too busy smokin' some stinkin' fish

Craig, I usually find it hard to keep those damn fish lit. Besides, even when they're lit they draw pretty hard. I finally gave it up and went back to smoking cigars. :yah

Sorry, but Cali sounds fun right now.
Mel. Long time no see. Has to be back to the Fabulous Fords Forever show in 2007 at Buena Park. Hope everything is going well with you. Hey, we are on a retro kick out here. Jerry Brown is back as governor, the Dems have control of both houses of the legislature and income taxes are up to 13.2%. It's like paradise out here in the PRC (People's Republic of California). :rulz

BTW, does any group still drive down to FFF in Buena Park??? Sandy and I went to the 45th anniversary show in Birmingham (?) during the 2009 FFF show and haven't been back to Buena Park since. That was always a fun trip. :beer

Ken

Next April is the 50th anniversary celebration in Las Vegas (for the West coasters) and there is some talk of going there instead of Knott's next year.

Hey Ken,,,good to hear from ya.

I'm trying to catch up here....been on vacation for 3 weeks.
