Thanks! Here are some of when I first got it. Right now I have the interior apart to replace all the wiring.

Haha it was installed when I got it. I'm not a fan of it. I'm going to do a T5 swap here soon. I already have all the parts for it.

Nice looking car! Thatll be a blast to drive with a T5.

Are you going with an aftermarket harness or stock wiring?

Thanks! I think it will be a lot of fun with the T5 and will be nice to have 5 gears lol.

I went with a CJ Classics harness so it's updated with relays and modern fuses but all factory wiring colors.

I'm very pleased with my T5 and the 3.55 rear, one of the best things I've done to mine. In retrospect, I could have gone even higher numerically with the rear. If you still have the stock 2.79 rear you NEED to upgrade it to realize the full potential of the T5.

That's good to hear! I'm excited for it. I have been looking into the gears for the rearend. That tag on the diff says it has 3.00 gears and I was thinking of putting either 3.55 or 3.80s. I have read that 3.55 is best if you want to have some fun but still be decent on the highway. But 3.80 would be more fun if you want something more light to light

My T5 from Modern Driveline has a .63 overdrive and runs about 2000-2200 rpm at highway speed. In retrospect, I may have gone with a 3.73 instead of the 3.55.

That's not to bad. I have an 8in rear end so I will have to go with 3.80 when I switch gears. I was also researching it and I guess the foxbody 8.8 is the same width as a 67 8in and 9in. So with brake line modifications and adding leaf spring perches you can install it in a classic mustang. Just not sure if it's worth the hassle lol. Foxbodys are 4 lug so I would have swap out axles as well.

I'm running the stock 3:00 gears in an 8". I'll replace them eventually to something lower and trakloc.

The 8" is just fine for the street unless you start running crazy power.

I was thinking of doing the same. 3:80s with trakloc.

That's why I'm not sure the 8.8 would be worth the hassle. I do plan on rebuilding the motor later on. But I only want around 300hp. It's enough to have fun but still nice to drive around town.

The 8" is plenty for 300 hp. Way easier to just swap out internals.
