Nostalgia Drags in Hardinsburg KY 5/12/12

I spent the day with Alex "Antlerfiend" and family and friends. He's from Louisville and we met last August at a car show. He told me then, he wanted to make his 68 look like a "barn find" 68 1/5 Cobra Jet factory drag car. His wife did a great job lettering the car! He had some friends with Mustangs too. A Bullitt, 67 Coupe and the Green Machine, 65 FB
I took tons of pics, here are a few...

The 60's Falcon, '64 Comet, '45-'47 Ford pickup, '57 Chevy.....all bring back memories of my racing days of old. Nostalgia drags a just so much better than modern drags....IMHO...

Thanks Craig, I had a great time today. Thanks for taking the pictures. I wish we had more time to hang out. I made the semi finals in Top Gas and the finals in Flag Drags. It made for a long day. Once I started racing my car never made it back to it's parking spot. We are looking forward to coming to Bowling Green and spending more time with you and Tara. Maybe we can get some Stangfixers to join us. Those are some great pics that you took. The dark blue 67 Shelby is a real one that has seen alot of racing. He had a cut in his slick and decided not to run. Thanks for bringing the third members. The 4.11's will be in my Mustang soon.

I had a great day. Don't worry about being busy, you were racing! And yes I forgot to say you and Mark both made it pretty far. I should add that in the flag drags, it's heads up. Alex did not have the fastest car but really read the flag drop to put some fast cars on the trailer. I was impressed. He ultimately lost to half a 66 Chevy II (literally it had no front clip at all).

Hope you guys get a chance to come to Bowling Green, that will be after the Power Tour so I might get permission to run my car... maybe

I can't thank you enough. I ran that Stang alot today. One thing I have to say for sure is that engine sure takes whatever punishment I can throw at it. I hope you get to race with us after the Power Tour. One day I hope to make it with you on one of those. Sorry if I am all over the place with my comments but I am really tired. no worries! Your car is pretty cool and you did great today. Two classes and rain delay's and you still went pretty far. I think you could have went all the way in the bracket if it weren't for that darn red light!

That Tbird looks pretty fast. Don't see to many those drag racing.

He ran a 5.48 at 125mph. He was the one I beat in the finals of Top Gas in the fall last year. He ran out trying to catch me this year. That Thunderbird is pretty badass.
