Hope the link works

68 mustang coupe 289 maaco paint job, new interior, pass rear floor rusted, guy said shock towers had cracks which were welded. Interior is beautiful and a father son team restored the car years ago. The floor pan is the only rust he could find but this guy knew nothing about cars. He wants 7k minimum and doesnt have the room which is why he is selling. What say you?

If there is floor pan rust, does the cowl leak? Other than that, it looks pretty good. Buy it, send it to me and I will test it out for you.....

I think its priced kinda high. 7K and you need to spend time and money to repair the floor. "Father and son restored", do you trust whats under the maaco paint job?

Look at the coupe that was in last Friday's craigslist contest. It was in Reno, nice looking paint, kinda odd interior and he wanted 5500. The ad is gone, so I assume the car is as well. But it may be a nice baseline for price/quality of car. There were pictures in the post.

It's a Coup, since we all know they are inferior, deduct $500. Auto..deduct another $500 and whitewall tires, deduct another $400 for new ones.

$6,100

Seriously, if you like it and want a car to drive, that's not too bad if the floors are the only rust areas. Are you planning on fixing it or driving as is while you work on the other one?
Hell, I paid $6,000 for mine back in 93!

The father son resto is what scares me...I dont understand why they would leave the one floor rusty and put new interior in? When I said Maaco paint job I mean literally the guy said he had the car painted at maaco. I think I will pass but wanted to make sure I wasnt expecting too much. Thanks fro the replies

Maybe you can convince the powers to be on here to locate the daily "pick the price" cars using your stats so you can have some more to look at......

Powers to be? We can rename it the "AzPete find Pat a car contest"

Hey now, I don't look for them, I just figure a number once provided with a car......

I really want to find a car that is semi local but I am sure when I buy Pete will correctly guess how much I paid
