yeah those pesky shock towers!I guarantee. Even with a 351w with 1 3/4 primaries mine was a pain. I considered manifolds lol.

me too, I like the mechanical stuff much better than bodywork, wiring, upholstery, etc. I did plan to pull the engine and do the heads and trans at the same time. I will probably regret not doing it that way because the firewall will be really hard to access for the hydraulic clutch. But It really needed some work on the heads. the valve springs were shot and the valve seals too.Making me jealous. I love building engines. Not so much fun in the car but still the best part of the hobby in my opinion. Those knuckle scrapes are worth it.

this article is basically the engine I am building... Hot Rod got over 500hp and 555 ft/lbs of torque from a 466 using pretty much all the same parts I am using.Making me jealous. I love building engines. Not so much fun in the car but still the best part of the hobby in my opinion. Those knuckle scrapes are worth it.
