Power Steering Fluid

Hey guys. I have to replace my power steering hoses. One blew about a week ago and dumped the contents on the garage floor. What should I use to refil the reservoir? ATF mercron or power steering fluid. 72 mustang with a 351C if you want to know. Thanks

Ed

Money.....I think power steering fluid costs more......I have run Type F ATF for ever in everything.

Type F ATF has special additives that all Ford products need.

It's probably plain water, but Ford needed to differentiate its product from everything else, and, of course, it has to be Type F (Ford). :sarc
