PS pulley install

So I went to my local auto parts store to use there ps pulley installer but this is the farthest I could get it to go on. Theres still about a 2mm gap on the back side of the pulley. I tried putting it on further but it just stripped the screw going into the from of the pump. How can I get it on further?

Was gonna try that until I realized I put the pulley on without the bracket being on first, so know I can't mount it to the bracket. Dee da dee on my part. Know I gotta pull it off and put the pulley back on all over again :roul
