I am restoring a 67 coupe with 4 lug wheels. The car came with the standard 67 hubcaps and I want to upgrade to the 67 wirespoke hubcap. I have purchased one on on ebay (for $23) but I am unsure if it fits correctly. Both the standard 67 caps and the one wirespoke cap are 14 inch but the wirespoke cap will not seat all the way down on the rim. I am fairly sure the are the factory rims but how do I check? is there a part number on the rim I can look for? Hubcap is not bent or damaged in any way, I have tried it on every rim and get the same result, whats up Standard hubcaps fit great but I can pull the wirespoke hubcap off with my bare hands.
