RIP Walter

RIP Walter.

Probably the last good news guy.

He landed in Normandy on D-Day and went on bombing raids over Germany.

Huntley, Brinkley, Russert, and now Cronkite.

The end of an era where you could tell the difference betweeen true journalism and the ratings driven sensationalism which has become so dominant in today's "news" organizations. The guy was a class act.

RIP

Boy oh boy Jeff, ain't that the truth.

RIP Walter.

I can remember listening to those old news casts on a regular basis. That was one thing the folks always made sure we saw so we knew what was happening around the world. A real quality that is forever gone.
