Anyone know the thread count for the steering column on a 67. My guage says 18 but a 5/8 - 18 nut does not go on.
 
My 1966 illustrated book has that nut being 33947-S, which is a 5/8-18 nut. I have a couple extra nuts around (no, my wife isn't keeping them in her purse...) if you need one.

I'd try a die on your steering wheel rod first. I have heard of these rods being jacked up.
