while I had the valve covers off, I noticed all the springs were painted red. I've seen stripes painted on springs in the past for i.d. purposes, but never seen anything like this. i'm not sure whats in this engine, any ideas on this? see anything like it before,original from back in the day or just some redneck dressup??
