1970 fuel sender...how many ohms?

I'm doing a bit of research on some aftermarket gauges and have found numerous types of fuel gauges based on the fuel sender type used. Does anyone know what the full/empty ohms that our cars have so that I get the proper gauge? My tank is empty and the car isn't running, so I can't exactly go and check the full reading :sad

I know for 67 and earlier, its 73 empty and 8 -12 full. I think it stays that way up through the big body 73's but im not positive.

IIRC it stayed that way for many years...I replaced the fuel pump in my mom's 02 Mercury and set it to 66ohms empty, if memory serves.
