Hi, new ole guy here from Louisiana. I have a 65 coupe, 289, 4 speed and air which I'm kinda restomoding. I'll get right to the subject, I just converted my 65 coupe to a T5 (1352-249) and I have several ?s. The swap went smooth, for an ole guy, kept the original bell housing, used the adapter and clutch setup, all works good. Next is installing a Borgeson pwr steering box which will not work with the factory clutch setup.
My ?s are
1. what speedo cable can I use or can I replace the cable trans end (the car has 2.80 gears)
2. The pwr steering in forcing me to change to a slave cylinder or a hydraulic throw out
If anyone has done this or can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.Ole guys need all the help they can get.
