The 65-67 collars will indeed fit the 68 column. The biggest mods would be adding a notch for one of the collar retainer bolts and spacers for the bottom retaining bolt. I'm sure you saw that already in the M&F article. With the work that takes, I'm just curious why they didn't just cut off the column top off of the 65-67 and butt weld it onto the 68?! I've been toying with that idea on mine. Nothing definite, just a thought. You can indeed use a 65/66 steering wheel with the 65/66 collar on a 67 column. I'll triple check it in a little bit. I was one my feet all day standing in the street directing traffic in REALLY uncomfortable boots. I'm just resting my dogs a bit right now. I'm 99% sure though.
The 66 T/S I have is crap Craig. It's old, brittle and I think frozen up. I also cut the wires in order to remove it easier. That leaves the 66 collar assembly. Buy? BUY?!!! Not a chance, it's yours. I've had so many people help me through the years, I'm happy when I get a chance to "pay it forward" as it were. Just PM me an address. I have some stuff I need to get mailed out to another SF member too, so I can do it in one shot.
