66 FB - Rear suspension

4 1/2 leaf springs, good quality shocks like Koni or Bilsteins, Panhard bar, a locker and sticky tires. Don't use underride traction bars.

Depending on how you plan to drive your Mustang, I question rear coil over kits, etc. To me, some 4.5 mid eye rear leafs and some good shocks should normally take care of most upgrade requirements.

But polished aluminum rear coil overs look sooo damn cool. Time will tell if we notice the difference from leafs.

I dunno, I kind of like seeing the coilovers hanging down. I can't tell you how many people lay under my car and oooh and aaaah. I had one guy follow me into a parking lot, follow me until I parked then dived under the car wanting to know what was going on back there:

Like with most areas of the car, it depends on how much money you want to throw at it. You can drive a Fiesta or a Ferrari to the store, they both get there and back just with different levels of sophistication.

I supply 2 different setups:

4.5 leaf mid-eye springs and Bilstein shocks. For just around $400 this gets you a really nice riding car. I find this combination suits most people but its difficult to adjust ride height and spring rate. Add our Watts Link if you do any track driving.
