A brand new 66 Mustang convertible

I got an email from a buddy this week with an article about a company named Revology offering a brand spanking new 1966 Mustang convertible. The car is built from a Dynacorn body with all sorts of bells and whistles like electric door locks, power windows, remote start, three point seat belts and most of the stuff you will find on a modern car. They also are using a modern Ford SB, running gear, brakes and suspension. The only problem is the asking price is $125,975. Seems a little spendy when you consider that most of the things that they are sticking in this car can be purchased over the counter for a whole lot less. Just some assembly required. I'm even betting that Mustangs Plus in Stockton, CA could build you something like this for a lot less than that MSRP. Anyone else familiar with this offering?

I saw it on yahoo about 10 days ago. I was not that impressed either. At 125k, I would have thought that I could get so much more.

Yeah, but it is replete with all those 21st century amenities like power door locks! Who knows, maybe it includes an optional navigation system. It appears to be an aggregation of lots of upgrade kits that you can buy across the counter all stuffed into a replica body. Dynacorn meets J.C. Whitney. Not exactly rocket science, not exactly a classic Mustang and probably not worth $126K, but that's what idiots were paying for those Elenore clones several years ago. Where is Carol Shelby when you really need him?

My bad. It's only $120K. The comments on the attachment that copasspupil provided sort of echoed my sentiments. Who needs a $120K Mustang? I also loved the little scuffle over whether the original Mustang was a 64 1/2 or a 65. The blurb on that link clearly says it is a 64 1/2 Mustang, but the side trims and the grille clearly say it's a 66. And where are the pictures of the "modern running gear"?
