A little Home Remodeling.

Same thing here with the floor. The existing tile floor was set on 2 inchs of poured concrete on top of 2x10 floor joists. A few hours with a 3lb sledge to get it loose, and man was i sore.

The house in CA was built in 46. the tile removed from the existing bathroom was poured into the floor joists, and the joists had plywood attached from the bottom. It was the entire 6" think. I just removed the plywood from under the crawl space and then used a sledge to push it out. What a PIA! Then to get that crap out from under the house was easy since there was a hole in the floor.

I had so much rubble I made three trip in my 5x10 trailer to the dump. All three had the axles cambering out badly there was way too much weight in it.

Since my home now is new, I just have little projects like a shower door on our 4'x7' open shower. It gets cold in there. I also should put in a heat lamp fixture, that will help too.

You do nice work and the SWMBO should be happy and let you spend some more dough on the Mustang.

Nice work Jake. And Congrats on the expected little one!! BTW- your commode is missing something...

Thanks rick, check the first post, in which i say that the tank lid is also installed now. I put that in there because i knew you would comment on it. :vic

:rofl... Well, towel bars, paper holder, and lotion / soap dispenser are on order with my supplier. Apparently i work faster then they can deliver the chit. I went with American Standards "Standard Collection" for all the faucets and faucet handles, so i decided to get the accessories that match. Damn things are non stock items. But thats more then you probably cared to know.

By the way Rick, when are you going to send me that PM, with the pertinent information in it? :beat

Great job.

I hope you kept the old toilet. That thing is probably worth some money if you find the right person.

Those things are considered hazardous waste around here... on the list of things that can not be disposed of at the local transfer station

We did both bathrooms in our 30 year old house. One of the things we did that is probably unconventional on the master bath was route extra plumbing around the tub for a second shower head. On mornings when my wife and I are both in the shower at the same time, we each have our own control and shower head. This means my wife can have the water hot like she likes it, and I can be in the shower too with my own water flow so one of us is not left freezing out of the shower spray. And of course if you are looking for a good hot steaming, you can get in by yourself and turn both shower heads on full hot, and really get cooked from both sides.

my wife and I frequently share the shower and I have talked about adding another shower head, cool idea. And I enjoy lathering up the... well let's say, the girls. Anyway, I love the tile work. Maybe I need to spend more time on the house and less in the garage, maybe...
Oh and cool news on the new baby!!! :craz

I really hate to remind you guys about the rules---when talking about sharing showers ---it really didn't happen without pics!

Great looking remodel. I really like the tile and neutral colors.

BTW, is that a jetted tub or a gigantic bidet? :craz
