Damn, it is nice having a neighbor with all the awesome automotive tools such as a Hoppy 1003B headlight aimer adjusting kit. Once I establish of level or unlevel the floor was, I entered that number in each aimer. Removed the trim ring around each headlight, stuck each aimer on using a provided 7" cone and suction cup set up. First adjusted horizontal via a split prism in each aimer, then adjusting vertical via a level on top of each aimer. Go back and tweak horizontal again followed by a recheck of vertical.

Being my first time, it probably took me 45 minutes. Now I could do in probably in half the time. Very sweet setup.

You can google Hoppy headlight adjusting tool or ebay it to seem them in more detail.

Got to use them back in my college days. Wouldn't mind have some for my shop now... Handy tool!

I thought the way to adjust them was:

If oncoming traffic is flashing you their high-beams, they are too high and to the left.
If your headlights turn off the ligh sensors atop street lamps, they are too high and to the right.
If you did not see the pedestrian until he jumped out of your way, they are too low.

thats an awesome setup never seen that before but would have been handy if i was still in the autmotive trade :cry

I can see it now..... Craig is out front of the shop with Shags lights on and pointed at the wall. He wonders around looking lost while poking a screwdriver at the lights. His neighbors see him and ask if they can help. We see the rest......

Well, very close Pete. Actually the headlights were pointing up into the trees looking for raccoons and my neighbors were getting a little embarrassed so in order to stop this silly little act, they pulled out something I couldn't refuse.
