Really! do we have so little to do with our lives then to criticise a commercial, we were all immigrants at one time

I don't think the uproar is about immigration. It is about assimilation. Entirely different matters. Immigration can lead to cultural devastation without the latter. Many feel that the "melding" of generations past is no longer happening. I personally tend to agree. Taken in that perspective, one can see why the commercial has touched a nerve.
