When I got the car several years ago this is what she looked like:
That was the condition I got her in. Since then, here are some pics of the progress:
With the back and forth working on it, this is how she sits today:
I have a new radiator, new fuel tank, new fuel lines, New headers, header back exhaust and a few other things. My goal now is to make it drive able asap so I can move it around to take it places to work on it, such as a friends house or a shop and/or to possibly take a body shop class to get the body work in order. As a complete rookie, it is a challenge to try and get this thing up and going. But I won't quick, I may take time off from it, but I am going to get this mustang driving. All I really need to do now is to get some help with going through the drum brakes and getting the brakes functional, after that it should be a short time frame till she is a running/driving/move able machine. After primering and coating everything wrong, I finally bought cans of etching primer and some 3m undercoating. I plan to blast the interior/trunk/fender wells and then primer them and coat them with the under coating stuff. I plan to blast the body and through on etching primer and then a sealer of sorts to keep it from fading/rusting all over again. I am definitely learning the hard way on this project. Anyone want to lend a hand? :thu
