Any Florida Car Shows/Events between April 17-27th?

Taking my yearly Fl trip a little later this year and looking for Car/Mustang things to do. Will be based in Ft Myers but will travel for something decent. I've got the local cruise in schedule if all else fails. Thanks.

I went to high school in Fort Myers and my parents still live in Cape Coral. There's not much car show or swap meet wise in that whole SW Florida area unfortunately. http://www.gulfshoremustang.com/events/ ... ights.html shows what's going on local cruise in wise in the area. To get any of the swap meets you'd have to go up to Zephyrhills or Sumter Fairgrounds, about a 3 - 3 1/2 hour ride each way (and only on certain dates). There's no good junk yards to look for parts in that area either.

Ft.Myers :wtf

Did you need to re-load your blue hair prescription?

I'll be near Daytona Beach April 23-27, there's always car stuff in Daytona!

My parents have a beautiful unused condo on the river... Have some family in the area.... Dont worry, I've got my reasons. I go every year and usually end up all over the state. I'm usually there last week of feb, first week of march. I always head up to Bradenton for the Ford Nationals, Daytona for the Supercross race down to Naples for the swamp buggy races. With a new baby at home, The trip was pushed back a little. Daytona has more going on but its a toilet compared to Ft Myers.

True! Deb's Grandparents lived in FM back when I still lived north of Daytona. Made quite a few trips to see them and was always amazed that we were always the youngest people in town!

My parents, grandmother, aunt & uncle still live in Bunnell, I try to see granny on her birthday every year.

This is the first year in 15 years that I missed bike week. Daytona can be a great time but is not the most relaxing.

Driving around Ft. Myers during the day can be challenging. Lots of Lincolns and Cadillacs traveling at 25-30 MPH on the highways with the left signal on while turning right. Usually you cant even see the driver when following from behind, just some gray hair. Around 5PM when the earlybird dinners are over, the roads start changing to hondas and neons with fart can exhausts....

Hoping the Downtown River District Cruise In will be decent on the 23rd. That is only a 5 min walk from the Condo. Plan on checking out the Muscle Car City Auto Flea Market and Car Corral on the 24th in Punta Gorda. I went to most of the club cruise ins last year but in late Feb, there were not many cars.

The River District Cruise In has been hit or miss lately. One month you will go and there will be a ton of great classics that have come out, and the next month it's mostly the late model crew that shows up. Muscle Car City shows are usually pretty good. I've only been to a few but it was a pretty decent turnout. A lot of the chump-ass Corvette guys like to frequent both of those shows and enter their C5 Corvette's (like I don't see 40 of them each day on the road).

There used to be a weekly cruise (Sunday evenings I want to say?) at the Merchant's Crossing Shopping Center off of US-41 in North Fort Myers. It's a good group of guys (if they're even still doing it). Parrot Key over by Fort Myers Beach also does a monthly show that is pretty good (and you sure can't beat their food and drinks!).
