.I'd like to just drop one in with no mods. Besides, you'll need it one day!
Me too.
It may be coming out anyway.

Engine dilemma solved. My friend that help me build my old 289 race motor had a usable 302 short block, ported iron heads and an intake to build a plain jane street motor. The machine shop has checked it out and all the parts are good, just needs a hone, new rings and bearings. Looks like I'll get out of this on the cheap and be able to put real money into the race motor. I'll just have to be satisfied with racing in the Chump Car series for awhile :thu

Sounds good what's your expected time table to get it back together?

I'd say another month, 2 tops.

I ran a motor at the track that wouldn't go past 5,200 for a while and it did fine. You don't have to rev the heck out of 'em.

Yeah, not gonna do that! I'll get my fix doing W2W for a little while, at least till they kick me off the team for breaking something or going too slow.
