Anyone love installing door panels as much as I do?

I finally got around to ordering the trim piece for the deluxe door panels on my 67 fastback.

So I got to take off the panels, and tried not to damage them. I was successful in that, but I had to omit one, or two clamps.

Man what a PITA. Got it done so I'm happy.

It really funny and obscene how much money it takes to finish "deluxe" doors on a 67.

I agree the 67 deluxe panels are a pain. When I was restoring my 67 GT500 I fought those panels for what seemed like forever. After FINALLY getting them on, I stood back proudly looking at how nice a job I did, then shut the passenger side door only to hear a faint clunk. I had left my flashlight inside the door! There was no way I was taking that panel off again just to get my flashlight out. As far as I know it's still in there.

No way! :lol

If.... and thats a BIG "IF"..... I could get '67 deluxe door panels to stay installed onto the door without occasionally "popping off".... usually at the rear of the panel..... I'd have no problems leaving a flashlight inside the door, heck I'd leave my wife's chihuahua's in there!

Can you imagine a guy restoring that car in the future and finding the complete skeleton of a small dog....... :$$$

Man, the thoughts that would go through his head. And, the posting here to tell everyone.

And yes, I to cringed when I closed the doors after installation.
