anyone try the "new improved quality" stainless fuel sending units?

I see that scott drake has a stainless steel fuel sender out that all the vendors list as "improved quality". after the fourth time at pulling the repop p.o.s. out that came with this tank, it has finally died. anyone try or have any luck with the s.s. version?? my problems with the current one are related to the connection from inside to outside being a long bolt with a nut that holds it together & it loosens up thus the guage stops working. the new ones I see pictured have a stud that's riveted in so may stay together...

No I haven't seen it yet. Yes, I assume a riveting connection will stay afixed longer that a threaded one. Is that the only improvement?

comes with a brass float instead of plastic & says that they are tested a little more thoroughly than most before being sold.
