Best method to clean coveralls

Mine are now able to stand up by themselves so I need to wash them. Any good method in cleaning them when they are spotted with grease and oil stains without getting on the wife's bad side?

Yes - take them to a laudry mat. otherwise you will leave a permanent ring in your wife's washer :char

I usually smear the oil and grease stains with hand cleaner ( gojo ) for a day or so before putting them in the washing machine. If they are soiled bad, then wash them inside out to minimize smearing heavy grease on anything she might see.

+1 on the hand cleaner. Sometimes I will spray the heavy spots with Bleach White and let it set. Also works great on white tennis shoes.

Here's how a real man cleans their coverall:

I just toss them to Sabrina (aka Moostang), slap her on the butt and tell her to clean them...

then I pick myself, my teeth, the coveralls off the floor and clean them myself. And I get real comfortable in the dog house (again)

I just bought them. No reason to simply toss them if I can wash them.

Most of us buy clean ones to begin with......what....those have dirt from the neighbors car on them?

They were brand new when I bought them. My truck is keeping me busy with all it's oil leaks and grime. The coveralls are starting to smell pretty ripe.

After R&Ring my toploader, my mechanix gloves stank like gear oil. I helped a buddy with his new c-tops and appliances and he even commented the gloves were stink'n up his house! Maybe I need to get a new pair.

Of gloves that is..........

A) +1 on the laundromat and toss in some of your rags as well.

B) Put them on, have SWMBO douse you in degreaser, place lawn chair in back of your truck bed, and have her drive you thru the car wash a few times. Don't forget your safety goggles.
