When I wash my coveralls I usually add a 1/2 cup of castrol super clean or simple green along with my detergent. Those two chemicals will also make quick work of the black ring inside the washer. I have never had to throw away a set of coveralls for oil/grease stains. Cured adhesives and resins have been coverall killers for me.
