Canton Oil Pan

I've got the Canton 8qt.? also and got it powder coated, gald I did for such a hard to remove item. Came out great and hard to scratch. I decided to go black to make it blend in with the suspension/engine bay:

I must be the REALLY odd man out as I am running the stock oil pan one mine **GASP**. :scar

Though modified a bit to clear my main girdle...

I too have the stock chrome pan with the PermaDry 1-piece gasket. I noticed a small leak at the rear (not rear main seal though) while I have the car up on jackstands doing the trans swap. I think a thicker flange would help sealing everything much easier.

Me too, but I'm going to get it powdercoated black as well. Don't like the gold look with my car.

And I take that you don't have a fuzzy plush dash and dingle balls hanging from the top for the windshield. You ain't pimpin' if you don't have alot of gold and bling on your ride. :craz

After hearing you guys about the finish I put on a coat of paint. Here are the pictures of my old pan next to the canton. The Ebay pan is almost 2" taller. The new one should work much better!
Here is the dipstick tube with a fitting attached for my blower return.

Check out the difference in baffling.

The difference in height is actually a little more than this. The canton pan tilts weight to the back and lifts the top.
