I was sitting in a bar having a beer while this was on, I told the guy sitting next to me that there was no kid in that thing, it flipped back and forth in the wind too easily, also it didn't look big enough. I think it was all planned to get some publicity and the media fell for it hook, line, and sinker!

I did, too, I thought the kid was in there. thinking back, you're right...the shape would have been tear-dropped as it deflated, had there been any appreciable weight. And it was listing very wildly, which is inappropriate for there being a child in there. But when I saw it, none of that registered. I just took the snooze media at their word.

And I agree. I think the father was up to some shenanigans.

And also the rescue team knew before it landed there was not a little boy in there, there was not any attempt to "get inside" the base of it, I would have torn the thing open bare handed if I thought someone was inside---no one even tried.

well, they just played an interview on the radio here. Apparently the kid admitted that it was all for some publicity that his parents wanted. Do you think anybody will face any charges?
