Curious Car...possible GT350

Made me walk upstairs. The VIN listed on his ad is listed in the registry (how can he prove its on the car). It was sold in Ca and went to NJ and it's listed as were abouts unkwn. Course this guy selling the car is dancing around the truth. With out a piece of metal with a clear VIN stamped in it and paperwork to support it, he has nothing more than iron oxide. :skul
 
Reading all his answers to the questions asked makes for a good story. He continues to say no VIN's available, now the title he had is not available........ Won't pull a fender as they are to rusted. Does not look that bad to locate the hidden VINs on the right hand side. Ignores questions about coming to look at the car. To bad someone here is not local to the idiot.

Nope...not going to buy that.

The 68's had the side markers because of federal safety laws that came into effect.
 
I doubt he'll answer it but I couldn't help myself and asked him a question.

In your ad you state ""The papers to this car are not to be found, So this car is being sold with out a Title. I do have a very old copy of the orig Title & the keys."

Yet in an answer to a question you say "I can't get it to copy. It's to faded. Sorry!" And then in another answer you say "please read the ad! Can't find any paper work."

So do you or do you not have a title to prove it is what you claim, a 1967 Ford Mustang GT 350?

He leaves himself a way out in every statement he makes. ie scammer.
 
I keep checking this listing. The Q&A is getting good. LOL

I had to send him a question... If the copy of the title is too faded, then how is he able to read the VIN on the title? What a scammer.

Even if they did have them (which I had never heard of), the rear marker lights on a 68 changed mid year. Early 68 cars had more of a flush mount style while the 68.5 cars had the style you see on this car. That was the dead ringer to me that the car was not a 67.

Take a camera if you go and post for all of us. :stu
 
+4, Look at the right fender and see why he us unable to pull it back and see a vin (as well as the left) Also you may want to take a lead pencil and paper maybe to get the vin to magically appear. My bet is he is nothing more than a SCAMMER. OH!!! he can take photos with his digital camera but is unable to take a photo of the title (guess his camera is broken or lost)? It seems to me that he still hasn't said enough to hang himself ("come look at it"). This gets better every minute.
 
If you do go look at it remember, even if the VIN stamping on the tops of the inner fenders are too rusty to read, you might be a ble to see the reverse stamping on the underside unless it truly is rusted away completely.
 
I like how he claims a man can get him a replacement tag and transferable registration. Unless he registers it as a kitcar, there is no way of putting a new VIN tag on this car and titling it as a Mustang or Shelby. Sounds like he's meeting some real winners. Set him straight nymustang!!!
 
Sorry folks, between my work schedule and an unexpected wake and funeral tomorrow and Friday, I'm not going to be able to go see this beast. On the other hand if it doesn't sell and he re-posts it I can likely find time next week. Didn't mean to let you all down :shrug
