Daughter is getting maried.

Well Mel just be glad if they decide to elope. Less stress.

Jennifer wants a wedding and I the groom have some say. We started with a budget and we are staying with it. It's going to be a great wedding for us. Now we just need to find another reception/ ceremony location again. Since the place we were going to have it doesn't have a liquor license anymore. Sorry I am not having a sober wedding. Geez I hated looking for place settings, we just got stuff to that we will use. We were told that our registry didn't have enough stuff on it. We just asked for stuff we will need now and later. I now at least I am getting the waffle maker that I want. That's the only thing I asked for. :ecit

See I don't mind spending the money because I know this is the only time I am going to do it. Plus we are the type of people that don't usually splurge on thing unless it's for the mustang or her addiction to shoes. Hey I am getting married in about 2 months and I can't wait till the honeymoon. :lol

I have friends that spend upwards of 50k for that one day and to tell you the truth, I think ours will just as good and better for a whole lot less.

I agree with you Dave. Amber and I were married in Norwalk and we had an awesome wedding and spent very little in comparison. We found the important part was the photographer and the honeymoon.

On another note, I spoke to Jacob today and he asked me for my permission to marry my daughter. Not that it would matter. They are in love!!!! Would he not marry her if I said no? I doubt it. Just the idea to him. He said he always wanted to do that.

Anyway, he had his first day on the job. He will be building some sort of gas cleaner thing for natural gas. Heck I don't know nothin, I'm just a bus driver. I am happy he has a job.

I asked him about his idea of a car for now. He had the same ideas I did. Get a truck you can work on while driving and fix it up as you drive it to work.

Awesome on him asking you for permission.
A little late though dont you think? Things were already sent in motion. I stepped up to my future inlaws well in advance of my now wife knowing anything.

ASK????? Baaaaaah, I was way to arrogant back in those days. I just told them I was taking their daughter away, they got over it.

I think.

Congrats Mel! sounds like you raised a smart daughter there.

Thanks guys. They have set a date in stone now. thankfully!

April 8th is the wedding at the San Diego Temple and April 10th is the reception in San Luis Obispo, CA.

I am going off to work the Olympics for the month of February so I should be able to make almost enough to pay for the shin dig!

Mel
