Did the 289 hipo intake have a spacer under the carb?

Subject says it all; I would like to know if the original 289 hipo came from the factory with a spacer between the aluminum cobra intake and carb or if the carb mounted directly to the manifold. Also, all 289 hipo;s had an open air cleaner, not the snorkel w/heat riser tube, is that right? Thanks!

Hipo 289 came with a cast iron intake and did use a spacer.
Shelby used the Cobra intake and didn't have the spacer.
Correct on the air cleaner.
