Driver's window crank..el.morto

The last Cars N Coffee I went to I went to wind the window up upon leaving home and it spun like a windmill. Pushing it in it did catch the gears which I could feel slipping.
So today I'll pull the panel off and see what's up. Can't be too hard to fix.
It's not like its an old Bronco.:p

Pulling the regulator is not the worst project, but getting the window all lined back up can be a pain in the backside. The good news is you will be experienced as two Bronco windows are on Saturday's schedule!

Not that hard to do.
Pulling the panel.
Loose the window from regulator, pull it to its top position and tape it along side of the door.
Loose the 4 bolts and 2 nuts from the regulator .
Its possible you have to crank it a bit so its small enough to pull it out of the door.

Well sort of that easy. Seems the screws holding the reg to the window (only had 2 out of 3) phillip heads rounded off. I had to drill them out. In doing so I'm not sure I didn't mess up the threads. Two are suppose to be clips that I can replace but the end one is the window holder threaded nut. Not sure about that yet.
Ordering up Left and Right (might as well fix both) regulators.

Replacing the regulators is easy. Agree with kb3. Aligning the window glass is a PITA. Might pay to have someone help when you change them out. I would probably do the broken one before I touched one that was working ok. Call it a practice one to see how easy the alignment goes.
