.......is different now. It took a few days to think about it but there is definitely a different feeling while cruising. I have bought cars from families that the owner had passed before the sale, I have driven my own families cars after someones passing, but do not remember ever buying one from someone I felt close to and then passes this soon after the purchase. I asked my wife about it and she thought she was the only one with that feeling. She says it feels as if John is watching down on us with a protective hand. (Not sure about that with his speeding records I have read about...lol.)
Working on it, driving it, or anything at all dealing with the '66 just has a different "air" about it now. Hard to explain. Maybe it will pass as time goes by and his passing is not so much on everyones minds, maybe it won't. Of course, when I find one of those WTF type things on the car, I am more careful on speaking out loud as I don't need any lightning bolts striking close by.
I am glad he gave out so much info on the car as I do not come up with any questions that I cannot sort out or track down on line somewhere. His no holds barred sale was pretty good. A few issues but nothing that cannot be dealt with. When we made the sale, I knew his health was going down hill, just never thought things would happen so fast.
Like I say, the feeling is not bad...not good...just different. RIP John..........
