When I installed the efi into my fastback, I removed all the smog equipment. And because of doing that, I was getting several computer codes. I was able to remove several with the tweecer programming, but the code for the canister purge solenoid was being difficult. So, I fooled the computer to think it was there. All it took was one 82 ohm, 3 watt resistor. I found a 12 volt source, and wired the resistor in line, and connected it to the correct computer pin. And viola....code 85 is gone. Now when I pull the codes, all I get is the all clear code!
Just thought I'd share this with all you efi guys, that have removed the smog equipment and are getting this annoying code. Luckily it doesn't throw the CE light.
