Face Sliced and Diced Today

I had a biopsy done on a thing on my face last week and it turned out to be a small basal cell carcinoma. So today, I went for surgery on it. The cancer is all gone, but now I have a 3-inch-long thin scar where the small cancer was removed and skin was cut to close the wound. The hard part is for the next two days I have to leave the padded dressing on and the right side of my face is swollen. The itching has started, I have to sleep in the recliner to keep my head up, and I'm not allowed to do a thing. This is going to be a very long 48 hours....
 
While the next couple of days will be annoying, just think what the consequences would be if you hadnt got it checked out!!
 
Very true, even though I can't have a drink for 48 hours. Now is when I need one!
 
Since you will not post a pic of your "owwie" I will post one of Hugh Jackman who had the same thing removed from his nose.

I am really beginning to hate the word biopsy. I hope that they got it all and it never returns.

I wish the bandage were that small! Mine is over a much larger area and a whole lot of swelling around my right eye. I had a different type of surgery than just cutting it out. To remove a pencil eraser sized owie, I had a 3-inch-long incision paralleling my nose. It was stitched in one layer and then glued shut. And now, the bandage is driving me crazy. LOL

Then you can drink yourself stupid.

Just don't fall on your face.
