Finally painted mine!

With so many customer cars to work on, I've had to put mine off for way too long. I finally got it painted Saturday (13 hours in the paint booth). It will be a long while before I lay out stripes on one all by myself again. I spent a lot of time working in the jambs between coats so there won't be any tape lines.

The dash is already the same silver as the stripes and TMI made me custom sport seat upholstery that is matching red vinyl with silver inserts. It is all PPG paint with three coats of their glamour clear. Tomorrow we'll start color sanding and buffing.

Looks great Doug. I can't wait to see the custom seats also. Sounds like a great combo. :thu

Thanks for the compliments. I can't wait to get it out into the sun.

Rich, I custom made the red color with lots of crystal pearl and some of PPG's starfire red toner which is red aluminum. It looks like a candy without the trouble that candy colors have since it's just basecoat. I also made the silver with some crystal pearls to match the look of the red.
