Fuel filter

I have a filter on the pickup in the fuel cell, then an inline filter after it comes out of the cell, then a Fram big filter just before the fuel pump.

Didn't the early Mustangs have a filter on the pickup?
the classic Mustangs do have a screen/cage type thing on the pickup of the sender. I don't know the "size" of debris it will catch but they are not good for rust in very fine particles. But like Terry said the new tanks are plastic, fuel lines are stainless and they have a high grade rubber wherever rubber is used. I don't think the new cars "generate" crud like classic cars do/did.
My 72 Chevy tank must still be rusting, I can't let it get below 1/4 tank or the rust gets in the carb. I have a Mr Gasket filter (glass) that I can take apart and clean. It catches most of it but some still gets by. I had the tank flushed and sealed but it still gives me grief. I'm sure the ethanol is not helping!
