Fuel injector adapters

What is everyone opinions of fuel injector adapters? Specifically for the electrical connection. My car is wired for the older Jetronic (EV1) plugs and most of the performance plugs I'm seeing are the newer uscar (EV6) style plugs. Places sell a short adapter to convert back and forth, even Ford Racing has a set that includes the adapters.



I'm not a huge fan of having excess adapters, those add additional failure points.

I not convinced I want to rewire the existing harness for the newer plugs either. I'm not sure if they're shielded or not like my 7.3s injector wires are.

if the wires are long enough , cut the wires and crimp on some new connectors/pins with the new housings.
as you said , those adapters could create additional failure points.

I am likely going to be crimping on new EV6 USCAR connectors. I need to look into seeing what's available.

The 4v cars and all 05+ Mustangs have these connectors from the factory.
