Garages

She has more junk than we have room for. It NEEDS to be gone. And she's really gonna hate it when I ban her from parking in the garage come spring. I WILL work on that damn car next year.

Speaking of, I think I'll drag her out there tomorrow and help me clean the place. After all, it's her crap that's in the way.

Might need pictures of that....right after the swelling goes down in your eyes so you can see to take the pic....

That wouldn't take much, I'm already blind in one. And no, she didn't do that.

Speaking of junk in the trunk, this was the trunk of my car the day I loaded it on the trailer...

He can have the garage to himself all he wants. I don't mess around in there EVER! OK, maybe I borrow a hammer now and then.
Just so long as he uses it to fix MY Mustangs when and how I want.
So far the agreement seems to work.
He even has an 18x12 ft shed to store HIS treasures too.
I just stash MY crap in the basement.

One question... when do you step over the line from collector to hoarder?

Oh I need to join in on this fun. :craz How did WE solve our garage problem? By buying another one. :sur Oh and it is connected to a house as well. We started looking for an investment property about 18 months ago. We had looked at several in the area when a neighbor passed away from cancer. She got one of those silly no interest loans and paid too much for the house. So when it when into default we put a bit on it. We are renting 2 rooms and keeping the master bedroom and garage. So my Mustangs moved 3 houses over and now her crap is in this garage. Try as I might not to put stuff on top of my 67 it has happened. :wm? If I get some time I will take a pic tomorrow. My sig pic is over 3 years old and taken in this garage. fd

Why did you keep the master? Wouldnt have been easier to rent the "house" minus the garage space?

As a guest room, but we have crap stored over there now too. Plus the bathroom in the master bedroom needs some work. fd

It depends on the stuff. If it is all operational and you are not in debt to get it, you are a collector.

I have a 10x20 storage unit a couple of miles from home to keep non-car crap in. My garage is for cars and tools. Neighbors wonder why I do this, they park one of their cars outside all of the time. I have a friend with a 3car garage and can't park in any of it. Ping pong table, lawn tractor, wife's junk. Suggested once that he grow a pair and take back at least one stall. He's still parking outside.

I have a 24x24 that we park the daily drivers in, I have a 40x60 metal shed that has 3 - 3'x16' fiberglass / plastic panels to let in light on each side, just after moving in I was burning weeds/sticks and caught one on fire and burned it out rather quickly, ugly black toxic plastic smoke.

Acreage and barns solve most of my storage needs, but the kids bicycles, skateboards, scooters, 4wheelers and dirtbikes make me nervous around freshly painted cars ! That and my favorite is when one of the kids say " no problem, Dad I put my car seat in the car all by myself ! " arghh !
