Going to court tomorrow to hopefully evict the wife.

As some of you know, I am in the midst of a divorce that is really tough. Substance abuse, infidelity, child endangerment....
Well, since my divorce was taking forever to get moving, I hired a paralegal to try and get this over with and file the appropriate paperwork to get on with my life. With an unemployed alcoholic wife who lives under the same roof....it was time to at least try to get her to leave. She has ruined my life and is rapidly destroying her relationship with our boys. I hate to kick someone when they are down but this has gone on long enough.
I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow...

Sorry to hear that things haven't improved, but glad to see you are on your way to getting on with your life.

Good luck. Sure it sucks to kick someone where they're down, but you have to think of the kids and do what's best for you & them.

It sucks but it's what you have to do to protect your kids. Your kids didn't choose this route, she did.

It's tough for this type of situation to not affect the kids, but you know when it's time to take a tougher step. Keep your head up and think about the brighter future. We all support what you are doing and hope the near future will turn for the better for all concerned.

Unfortunately, they have actually gotten worse, Pete. This is why I am hoping to get the order to evict. Don't know if I'll get it, but one can hope. I can't keep living this way.

Failure. Motion denied. I guess being an unemployed alcoholic who endangers her children only sometimes isn't enough for the court to grant me sole custody and move her ass out. Back at square one. Despite my best efforts, I think it's time for a lawyer to bleed me dry.....
 
Really sad thing is, if the situation was reversed, the judge would have tossed you in the klink.

Sorry to hear the judge was an asswipe.
 
Doing these things without a lawyer is hard. Many judges look at you as if you should not waste the courts time unless you are paying all you money to one of their counterparts.

Search carefully for a lawyer and good luck.
