Going under the knife...

Well, I survived. In quite a bit of pain today, but that's what these little white pills are for. Laughing, sneezing, getting out of bed and crapping are all "religious experiences" now. :censored :sm_TMI

High marks for the Prairie Star Surgical Center at 95th & K7. They took good care of me & the family. Even had a follow-up call from them today. I'm definitely following instructions - don't care to go thru this again. :wth

Glad to hear it. Definitely take the pain medication, helps you move and be active even though you don't feel like it. And yes, stool softeners for sure. You're going to have a lot of soreness. I'm 10 days post-op and up to walking 2 mi in the am and 2 more in the pm.

The more active you can be the better. I had my surgery on 1/28 and I have been out digging around the property, building sprinkler stuff, planting lawns, spreading topper and more.

It does take some time and when you get tired you should rest, but if you can get active you will mend much faster!

Oh, I was on stool softeners for several weeks just to make sure. Some of the meds specially the pain type will cause it to be a religious experience, but with a bit of help it can be less of an issue if you get my drift!

Good luck, and I am glad all went well!
