I purchased a YOM plate off ebay a while back and decided it was time to get it registered. From everything I have read about Florida, you basically send the plate to tally with all the proper documents and a check and they send it back. I sent my plate off mid July with a check for $50 assuming that would cover the cost of registration, well you know what they say about assuming. So around the end of august I got a letter from the DMV stating that I was short in the amount of $3.10 which had to be paid by check. After sending the additional funds and waiting another month, I have finally received my plate.
I was never a fan of the antique or classic plates that Florida offers, and I think these YOM plates just add to the car.
