In order not to violate forums protocol I will make my first post here. :p

On my 3rd(?) (Does the 68 in pieces in my garage actually count as a Mustang now, or only when I get it done?) Mustang. My first car was an 88 GT(sold :(), I also currently own a 2000 GT, and of course, the aforementioned 68 coupe.

68 came to me a mess, and hopefully when I am done, will be a pleasant DD capable slightly modded piece of American history.

Thanks for all the information I have shamelessly stolen so far on the forums, and thanks in advance for all that I have yet to find :).

Welcome aboard.

If you would've posted pics you could've had free beer and cookies tomorrow.

I shall see what I can do about a few pictures.

Bottom to top.

First one is the 68 the night I got it home (it then sat for several years).

The second is the 00. Its basically stock, replaced the k-member and front suspension since I was going to turbo the car, then I got the 68, and decided to keep the 2000 stockish for now, and turbo the 68 instead.

The third one is a shot of the 68, slowly making progress. So much more to go.

Sadly, I dont have any of the 88 anymore :(.

the 68 looks pretty decent, is that original metal or has a lot been replaced already? the 2000 looks nice too!

I replaced both floor pans, torque boxes, radiator support, ds rear lower quarter section, taillight panel, ps rocker, lower cowl section, battery apron and a small section of the ps front frame rail. Doors and fenders are factory, although I probably should have reskinned the PS door.

Its still got a long way to go. The picture is after epoxy, some minor filler and blocking. Working on brake conversions now. It came with drums, but I intend to convert to power 4 wheel disc. Front package should be here tomorrow!

Thanks for the welcome guys :)
